About WHERE
Who we are
WHERE was established in 1988, and is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Based in Wellington, our work covers Wellington, Taunton Deane and the surrounding area.
WHERE officially opened the 'Wellington Active Living Centre' in April 2006, based in The Northfield Centre.
Run in partnership with the Council and Age Concern, the POPPS (Partnership for Older Peoples Project), service complements WHERE's existing activities and makes use of both premises, ie the Northfield Centre and the Active Living Centre.
At the heart of all of our services is the fundamental desire:-
'To support adults with a disability, physical/mental, long term health condition or those who have become marginalized or isolated, due to age or their health condition, to live independent full lives and engage in society'
